Quartz
Quartz countertops are an engineered manmade stone, produced by many different brand names. Some of our featured brands are Daltile One Quartz, PacShore Quartz, and Ceasarstone. The countertop process begins with natural quartz that has been mined and ground down to form an aggregate. Then the aggregate is mixed with resins and pigments. Finally, the mixture is then compressed and heated until the resins have cured. The finished countertops can come in a wide variety of colors or designs.

In 1987 Ceasarstone was founded and pioneered the quartz surfacing process. The corporate headquarters are in Israel. However, they have made a substantial investment in America. They have a production plant in Richmond Hills, Georgia, that opened in May 2015. They featured several dozen different colors or design patterns to meet any style goal.

Plastic Laminate
Plastic laminate countertops are an inexpensive alternative to natural stone or quartz countertops. They come in a wide variety of colors and patterns, many of which mimic the appearance of natural stone.
Laminate countertops are produced by applying and bending a laminate sheet onto a substrate. The most common substrate is particleboard, although plywood maybe used. Sheets of decorative paper and overlay paper are saturated with resin. Then the paper and resin are pressed under high heat to create a single laminated sheet.

In 1912 electrical engineers, Daniel J O’Connor and Herbert A. Faber were working at Westinghouse when they discovered that high-pressure plastic resins could be used to insulate electrical parts. Since they were searching “for” a substitute of the insulation material “mica”, Formica was coined. Beginning in the 1930’s the company shifted from industrial applications to decorative laminate products. Formica laminates became a popular choice for cafes, nighclubs, and railway cars because they were colorful, durable, and “cigarette proof”. Over the years, Formica has continued to focus on design and quality, while they have grown into a global presence.

Cultured Marble
Cultured marble is appealing to many homeowners because it is less expensive and more durable than natural marble. However, it maintains the elegant appearance of natural marble. It is available in many different colors and a polished or matte finish. Unlike natural marble, it is non-porous, which means it is stain resistant from shampoos, makeup, hair dye, and many other bathroom products. It is easy clean, only requiring a soap sponge and mild soap.
Our cultured marble is a manufactured in Cordova, TN. It has many different applications such as; vanity countertops, sinks, shower walls, bathtubs, and whirlpool tubs. It is made up of ground limestone or marble that is combined with a liquid polyester resin (liquid plastic).
